obviously i haven’t posted in a while. to be honest, noting funny has happened, or anything i would consider interesting enough to share with you guys. the only thing going on currently is that i have no appetite. so i have decided that this pregnancy is really the opposite of everything i know and am.
meaning? well…i loved chicken. chick-fila was my favorite fast food restaurant. but now, the site of chicken or chick-fila logo (seriously, had to get off their emailing list and un-friend them on facebook!) makes me queasy. also, salads. not enjoying them as much as i once did. and if you know me at all, i love salads (freakin registered for a salad “cook”book for our wedding).
macaroni and cheese. that too makes me queasy. could be the fact that i spent the months leading up to my pregnancy making homemade mac-and-cheese (the leimbach’s special recipe no less!), and now i am sick of it. but the thought of melting all that cheese together…gag.
and lately, well most of my pregnancy so far, i have had no real appetite. i will force myself to eat, i try to satisfy cravings. but seriously, i do not enjoy food like i use too. heck , i love food so much i majored in it in college! but now, have to force me to eat.
see, this crap isn’t interesting. it is boring as hell! i am falling asleep even writing this!
other than that, things are pretty normal. i have figured out how to curb my snoring at night (so dave will sleep in the same room as me). i love maternity pants (might continue to wear them after peanut arrives…they are so comfy). and we are starting to get to all the things that we still need to do around the house…so we eventually get to organizing the nursery (aka. my closet) before peanut arrives.and i lost the battle of decorating the nursery in uk blue and white...sniff sniff.
also, in two weeks we will be getting another sonogram, and hope to learn if it is a boy peanut or a girl peanut. we both just want a healthy baby and will be happy with a boy or a girl. but knowing will help us not lose our minds choosing a name. right now, the best solution that dave has come up with is creating a bracket system of 64 names – a girl bracket and a boy bracket on each side, favorite names get byes. not going to happen.
ok. i promise to update if something awesome happens, but seriously…yawn.
hugs, doreen & peanut
p.s. shout out to my two girls who are also pregnant, and due this september - tina and teri!!
